Promenta AB is divided up into 3 parts - The largest and most well-known being Bohlin Racing, followed by Promenta Driver Training and finally Racingsport.se.
Promenta AB is a family-owned company with Lennart Bohlin in the driving seat as Managing Director.
Bohlin Racing was originally founded as a private company to support Lennart’s world- encompassing motor-sport activities. (For more information take a look at ‘Lennart’s Story’)
In 1992, Lennart built a company at Gellerås racetrack. In the following years he began to develop and grow the concepts which form the foundation of our current activities.
During 2008 we’ve invested a massive amount of capital in, amongst other things, 13 race-prepared Volvo C30s and also a number of Formula Renault cars – pure-bred racers which have much in common with current Formula 1 cars. We’ve also rebuilt our go-kart track and bought several new Pro-karts.
All this new investment ensures that Bohlin Racing can continue to offer a unique blend of exhilarating track-based driving experiences.
SAFE-DRIVER COURSES
Sure – everybody likes to think that they are a great driver – but are they actually in reality? A really good driver knows that there is always something new to learn! We offer several different courses in safe-driver techniques and also Eco-Driving - environmentally friendly driving skills to help reduce petrol consumption and thus help protect the planet.
Bohlin Racing offers a great Combination Day Package. Half a day is spent with our instructors learning how to be a safer driver - the other half is spent out on the Gellerås track experiencing the unique adrenaline rush that only track-racing can deliver!
GELLERÅS RINGEN
Our hire-kart track is a vital part of the growing Gellerås racing facility. It features, amongst other challenges, the famous Velodrom Curve. The karting track was rebuilt in 2007 with a new back-straight, pits and grandstand. In 2009 we bought 15 new Caroli Karts and extended the parking area.
Different models of kart are available to suit each group’s needs and driving capability.
Our latest project has been in the pipeline for some 10 years. It’s a website 100% dedicated to the buying and selling of motor-racing-related objects. We are aiming to have it launched at some point during 2009. We hope the motor-racing community will enjoy using our website whilst searching for that dream vehicle, long-searched-after part or perhaps just some fun racing memorabilia.
ON AND OFF-ROAD
In order to help SUV owners improve and test their driving skills we have an off-road area featuring different grades of difficulty. For on-road SUV training we use either Karlskoga Motor Circuit’s practice area or, for higher-speed exercises, Karlskoga Airport.
