Safety Driving Step 1

Everyone with a driving license thinks that they are a good driver, however, a truly good driver knows that there is always a lot of room for improvement!

The purpose of the course is to help make you a safer driver by learning to use the car's technological features to the maximum. All training is supervised by our experienced instructors.

You will be driving cars with both front and rear-wheel drive.

Theory
We start the day over coffee and sandwiches in our education center, followed by a review of the correct driving position, how to control the steering wheel, safety, ESP system (Electronic Stability Program), today's training exercises, driving technique and the differences in tyre technology.

Practice
Our courses are run at our training base at Karlskoga Motorstadion and on the Gellerås race track. All cars have two-way radios allowing our instructors to give you advice and suggestions continuously.

Gelleråsbanan
During the racing season the track is used for a lot of different events - European Championship rounds of roadracing, Swedish Touring Car Championships and Historic racing events for example. The track is approximately 2.4km in length.

The practical section includes:

• Emergency braking /taking evasive action. A computer will show you randomly which way to swerve. Your reaction time also shows on the display.
• Braking in curve to experience how this affects the forces at work on the car.
• Slalom training with a final race against the clock!
• Slalom med ett avslutande tidsåk, en spännande kamp mot dig själv och klockan!
• Finding the optimal driving line on the Gelleras race track
• At the end of the course we award the diplomas

Price: 4950,- excl 25% VAT per person.
The above price includes morning and afternoon refreshments, lunch, diploma plus loan of the car.

Insurance.
The driver's own insurance and the cars vehicle insurance applies. Reckless driving outside the borders of the course and/or damaged vehicles can lead to additional costs.
