Be a racing driver for a day.
The Gellerås Racing Track is situated out in the beautiful Swedish countryside just north of Karlskoga.
This famous track is in regular use, hosting amongst other events, the STCC (Swedish Touring Car Championship), classic vintage car racing and road racing.
It’s around this exciting track that we offer you the chance to be a racing driver for one adrenalin-fuelled day!

Bohlin Racing is proud to announce that we can now offer you the chance to try out one of our Formula Renault 2.0. These are extreme racing machines - perhaps as close as most people are ever likely to get to driving a full Formula 1 car! Add an extra 500 kr to the prices shown if you which to enhance your day by driving one of these thoroughbred racers. You won't be disappointed!
What happens on a Motorday?
We start the day getting to know one another over a coffee and a sandwich. This is followed by a theory class where you will be taken over all the necessary rules, safety regulations and on-track activities. After that, it's time to ‘suit-up' with the correct racing gear and start driving!
We start first with a Volvo C30, then go-kart and finally Formula 3 Reynard or Fomula Renault.
Over the course of a day, our experienced instructors will teach you how to handle the car and take curves correctly at high speed. You’ll get a taste of how a real race car handles on the track. We hope that at the end of the day you’ll go home as a better, happier driver!
The vehicles
Volvo C30 – Each car has been rebuilt around an FIA-classed safety cage and is fitted with Öhlins shock-absorbers. Engines, gearboxes, clutches and brakes have all been modified to race specifications. They can reach speeds of up to 170kmh (105 mph) around the Gellerås track.
Formel 3 Reynard – With a 1800cc motor, each car weighs in at only 475 kg. Featuring a 5-speed unsynchronized Hewland racing gearbox, these exciting race cars are capable of reaching speeds up to 200 kmh (124 mph) round the Gellerås track.
Formel Renault 2.0 – These are extreme racing machines. Each Renault is fitted with a 4-cylinder 16-valve 1998cc engine coupled to a 6-speed sequential gearbox. They can hit 260 kmh (161 mph) around the Gellerås track.
Carolikart – Each of our karts has a 12 hp Honda motor. Round our newly-renovated karting track (GelleråsRingen) it’s possible to reach 80 kmh (50 mph).
Prices
Weekday (Mon-Fri): 5.995 kr – Formel 3 Reynard 873 option
Weekday (Mon-Fri): 6.495 kr – Formel Renault 2.0 option
Weekend (Sat-Sun): 6.995 kr – Formel Renault 2.0 option
These prices include MOMS (VAT), instruction in a Volvo C30, Carolikart and a Formel 3 Reynard or a Formel Renault 2.0 plus hot drinks, sandwiches, lunch and loan of all the necessary racing wear (helmet, overalls etc).
Drivers also receive a certificate featuring a photo as a reminder of your day with us. There are also prizes for the winner of each race!
Insurance
Personal insurance is included within the price for Swedish citizens and residents.
Non-residents (i.e. those just visiting Sweden) need to add an extra 450 SEK per person to the price.
Personal liability for damage to the vehicles is limited to a maximum of 14950 SEK (depending on the amount of damage sustained).
