Driving license for a Formula Car.

We can help you realize you dream of becoming a real racing driver. Apply today for a place on one of our Formula Car Driving license courses. This license is valid for both training sessions and competitions.

Necessary qualifications.
In order to take the test for a Formula Car License, you must take part in a Motorday with us which includes time behind the wheel of a Formula-class car.

Course content for Formula Car and Standard Car Racing License:

  • Theory
  • Racing track instruction with an instructor
  • Racing track training in a Volvo
  • Lunch at our Pit Stop Café
  • Instructional overview of a formula car
  • Track training in a formula car
  • Evaluation of your driving skills.

You will receive comprehensive driver training throughout the day and will drive some 40 to 50 laps around the Gellerås track.

Vehicle/license alternatives:
Volvo C30/Formula Basic: A good option for those who don't want to pay too much for a racing license. You would be permitted to race open cars with exposed wheels and a 1.6 liter Ford CVH engine. This class of car competes in the SSK series.

Volvo C30/Formula 3 Reynard 873: This is a popular option. The Reynard has a race-prepared motor and is our ‘workhorse' racer. It can reach speeds of 200 km/h and weighs just 450 kg.formel3_smal

Volvo C30/Formula Renault 2.0: A new addition to the stable here, this car is for those who want to drive the best! Weighing in a just 490 kg, this extreme machine can reach speeds of 260 km/h. Our BS Motorsport team competes with these cars in the Formula Renault series together with STCC. We won the Swedish Championship and the NEZ Championship in 2009.

After the course you can apply to the SBF for a beginners' racing license. Once you have raced in two national competitions (not championship races) you can upgrade (class-up) your license.

Prices are per person and include VAT (MOMS), lunch, coffee, sandwiches, course literature plus loan of cars.

Insurance
Personal insurance is included for Swedish citizens. For foreign visitors to Sweden, add a surcharge of 450 SEK. There is an excess of 3250 EURO for damage.
